We come together in song.
Musica Viva Singers
We are a group of community choir singers of all shapes and sizes, in Centretown Ottawa, who enjoy singing in harmony. Our repertoire ranges from Renaissance motets and opera choruses to songs written just yesterday -- with lots of popular, Celtic, rock and folk song arrangements.

SONGS OF SHEEP AND SHEPHERDS
Join us this December 11 or 15 for an evening of pastoral songs down through the centuries.
Our programme includes seasonal depictions of the shepherds at the manger by John Rutter and by Canadian composers ... plus lots more!
π Seventeenth century part-songs by Dowland and Ravenscroft; paired with contemporary settings of pastoral Renaissance poetry by Ruth Watson Henderson
π The well-known setting of Psalm 23 by Howard Goodall, alongside a new paraphrase "The Wind is my Shepherd" by the late Steven Heighton, with setting by Sarah Quartel
π A new Agnus Dei setting by Haitian-born Canadian Christopher Ducasse
π Excerpts from Handel's Messiah ("All We Like Sheep"); plus a new a cappella re-visioning of "He Shall Feed his Flock" by our own Aditi Magdalena.
π ... and even a little bit of Kate Bush!
